MY SUMMER HOLIDAYS

Summer holidays are about to end. How sad it is to return to the routine again! This summer has been one of the best summers I remember since I've done lots of funny things.

I have spent most of my summer in my swimming pool where we sunbathe, relax or play with a ball or cards. In fact, I gave two parties in it where we had a lot of fun. Another thing I've done a lot this summer is going to the beach, since we went with our Molvizar's friends who have a car and in the evening, we used to eat a kebab in Salobreña. Moreover, this summer I had my hair cut as I had it too long and my parents wanted me to have it cut.

One of the days I've enjoyed the most this summer is when my friends and I went to Playa Granada to surf as there were too many waves, although we had never tried it. I have always wanted to go surfing. If you asked me what water sport I would like to take up, I'm sure I'll probably choose surfing. The other day I enjoyed the most was when I was with muy family in Cazorla, as we used to go there every summer since I was very little and I hadn't gone for about two years. It could be said that the camping where I used to go in Cazorla takes a big part of muy childhood. I have lots of great memories there, so it was very exciting to visit it once again.

To sum up, I have done plenty of things this summer, except studying and advance work for the next school year. However, I've passed my Philosophy exam, so I can still rest for a few more days.

What would you like your funeral to be like?

If I had to define what a funeral is, I would say that it's a traditional and usually sad ceremony in which the family of the person who has died gather to observe his corpse. Funerals have been done since ancient times, that is to say, for such a long time. They were done to remember and respect the dead and the family usually made them monuments, prayers, and rituals undertaken in their honor.

Although most people think about a funeral as a sad ceremony where all the relatives and friends of the dead arrive in black and take seats in a church, there are other fascinating funeral traditions from all around the world, in cities such as New Orleans, where funerals strike a unique balance between joy and grief or South Korea, where families usually opt for ashes in colours turquoise, pink, black, etc. However, the place where I love the funerals the most is Ireland, since instead of crying, they give a party to celebrate and share the moments they had lived with the dead. I'd prefer this kind of funeral to a Spanish one, as I would like that my relatives had a great time with music I used to listen to and things I used to do. I don't put up with funerals where all the people are crying. How depressing it is!

MY FAVOURITE TV PROGRAMME

My favourite TV programme is called "La Que se Avecina", which is a very popular comedy in all the country. It's shown on FDF everyday at noon and in the evening. This series is characterized by satirising with black humor the relationships between the neighbours of a community because of the surreal situations that happen to them. These difficult situations make their lives difficult and make the programme so funny.

"La Que se Avecina" premiered on 22nd April, 2007 with good audience records. Since then, there have been ten seasons and soon it will be its tenth anniversary. Currently, this TV programme is one of the most seen and longest run in Spain, only surpassed by "Tell me how it happened" and it has more and more audience.

The thing I like the least of this TV series is that many of the same episodes are repeated. I've seen one episode so many times that I can say it by heart. And the character who doesn´t convince me is "Doña Fina". She's an elderly woman who makes her neighbours' life impossible. For this reason, I don't like her at all, but I reckon that she's fundamental for the programme.

All in all, I'd recommend this comedy both for young people and adults as it's very funny, interesting and entertaining  to see the misfortunes that happen to the neighbours and watch how they try to solve them. Personally, I think that the actors that appear in the series are absolutely fantastic!

Why are there so many Chinese people travelling? Because they are heading home for the Chinese New Year. It is the Year of the Rooster.

Resultado de imagen de rooster chinese new yearWith regard to the question "Why are there so many Chinese people travelling?", I have to say that it's true that there were lots of Chinese people travelling on 28th January, but there were also hundreds of millions of people from all over the world travelling to China, as this country was getting ready for one of the biggest celebrations in the world: Chinese New Year.

Chinese New Year, which was Saturday 28th January this year, is the Year of the Rooster. This celebration is also known as "The Spring Festival" and it's marked by the lunisolar Chinese Calendar, so the date changes from year to year. Each Chinese New Year is characterised by one of 12 animals which appear in the Chinese zodiac. Accoding to this calendar, 2017 is the Year of the Rooster, the 10th animal in the cycle and it won't be again until 2029. What a long time!

In the Chinese Zodiac Calendar I'm the dragon since I was born in the year 2000. People whose zodiac sign is the dragon are powerful, confident, smart and witty, but lack self-awareness. It is said that we also have a bad temper.

WHAT ARE YOU THE BEST AT?

Resultado de imagen de BE THE BEST
It would be great to be the best at something, such as singing, dancing, at school, etc. Although I've never been the best at anything, I'm very good at rollerblading, either on land or on ice. That's what my friends say when we go together to the ice rink. However, I think that I'm not as good as professional skaters. I'm also good at languages.

Now, I'm going to give you some advice of how to try to be the best at doing something. Firstly, the thing you want to be the best at should be something that you really like. Secondly, you have to be practising it for years. If you aren't good at something, you can try to be the best dad, the best friend or maybe, the best husband.

It would be amazing to have superpowers, and it's very funny to imagine how different my life would be if I had some of them. For instance,I'd like to be able to become invisible so as to listen to what people say about me, I'd be able to go out of my home without my parents knowing it, and play pranks. I would also like to fly, which has been my dream since I was little. Finally, I would like to have the superpower of healing, so I'd be able to save lots of lives. On the contrary, I wouldn't like to know what all the people think since I'd become crazy.

HOW WOULD YOU FEEL ABOUT WINNING A MILLION EUROS?

If I won the lottery, I would feel very happy and excited, although it's a bit scary to think that you have such a lot of money as it's more likely to be robbed. However, we would also have more anti-theft security and it would be amazing to win the lottery since I have lots of ideas about how to spend it!

Now, I'm going to write about things I would do and things I wouldn't do if I won the lottery. On the one hand, I would pay for my parents'debts, as well as the mortgage. Then I would buy an expensive car for my parents and I would probably build a house in the middle of the field which is next to the river, as my mother has always wanted one. Then, I would buy lots of clothes and obviously, I'd save part of the money to pay for my studies. I would certainly buy a plane for myself, so I'd be able to travel around the world, which is my dream and I would take my father to see the Norwegian fjords. Finally, I'd give money to charity, that is to say, I'd give part of the money to people who really need it.

On the contrary, I wouldn't change my house as I love my village and my home and I want to be near my family and friends. I wouldn't spend my money on animals as my parents don't want me to bring them more animals home. Finally, one thing that I would never do if I won the lottery would be to boast about my money. In my opinion, the people who boast about having everything they want are pathetic.

I think winning a million euros would change a lot my life, as I would travel more and more, so I wouldn't be at home as much as before, and in consequence, I would probably lose my friends' relationship. In conclusion, although my life would be easier, I prefer my current life.

DO YOU WANT TO LIVE FOREVER?

I reckon most people have thought at least once in our lives what would happen if we could live for more than a hundred years. Some scientists think they will learn how to stop people growing older by the end of a decade and in consequence people would live an averange of 1,200 years.

In my opinion that's so incredible and unimaginable. On the one hand, it would be amazing if I could live long enough as I would be able to do many more things, I would enjoy life, meet my descendants and know how the world would be like in such a long time.

But in the other hand, it might could be a little boring to live a thousand years in the same planet, so in conclusion I wouldn't know how to do since I would be afraid to die , but it would be very strange to live until year 3,000.

I think in the year 3,000 the world will be very different, just like year 1000 was very different from year 2,000. Surely, in year 3,000 cars will fly, men and women will be taller than now, and they will live an averange of 120 years, tecnology will be incredible, we just have to look how tecnology has advanced in the last 50 years, so in almost a thousand years, I can't imagine it!!
